A word from the CEO of the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia - Andrew Giles
The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia is very pleased to again be associated with the Fathers Day 5 event in 2007. This event is an ideal opportunity for us all to spend a fun morning with our family on dad's special day, as well as raising funds and awareness for prostate cancer. Each year, an estimated 18,700 Australian men are affected by prostate cancer, and sadly 2,900 Australian men will die. Yet few Australian men (or the women who love them) know what prostate cancer is, what symptoms they should be looking for, or even if they're at risk.
Your participation in the Fathers Day 5 means the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia can continue its work providing support, information and advocacy to men and their families affected by prostate cancer through more than 80 support groups nationally; raising awareness; and funding research into the cause, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of prostate cancer. Please join us for the Fathers Day 5 on Sunday 7th September 2008. I look forward to seeing you there. ~ Pictured Above (left to right): Wendy Farrow, John Goodall and Andrew Giles from the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia at the 2006 Fathers Day 5 in Sydney Olympic Park. |
